Republic of Moldova and International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) signed Financing Agreements for implementation of Rural Resilience Project. Projects are implemented by the public institution Consolidated Programme Implementation Unit (CPIU IFAD), set by the Government of Moldova Decision.

The project provides investments and technical assistance to agriculture producers for adaptation Conservation Agriculture principles in the production systems and ecosystem restoration practices to increase the resilience of the Moldovan agro-landscapes and rural communities.

The CPIU IFAD will recruit a full-time Climate resilience consultant, with a strong background in environment, forestry, farm management, agriculture development, and/or sustainable management of natural resources, to undertake the duties of project activities implementation with a particular focus on ecological restoration activities comprising rehabilitation and establishment of shelterbelts and grass cover.

 The CPIU IFAD invites eligible Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the consulting services. Interested candidates should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

The key criteria for shortlisting evaluation (see details in TOR) are the following:

  1. General qualifications – 20 points:
  2. Specific experience in the field for vacant position – 30 points:
  3. Language skills -5 points:
  4. Computer management skills – 5 points
  5. Competencies (through the interview) – 40 points

The consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection procedure, (ICS procedure under IFAD Procurement Handbook 2020). Assessment of the candidates will be conducted against evaluation criteria, based on information provided in the application documents.

Qualified candidates will be called for the interview and will be informed about the next stage of the selection process (regular face-to-face interview rounds are conducted usually in the CPIU IFAD Office, but interviews may be also be conducted remotely).
