The Consolidated Programmes Implementation Unit has received financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards the cost of Talent Retention for Rural Transformation Project and intends to apply part of the financing to payments for contracts for goods, works, and services.

The procurement program for the 2022-year period will include the following:

Procurements for 2022

Estimated value – 1,269,261.00 EUR

 
Procurement of goods to include:
1)    Workshops and learning events (non-consulting services)
2)    Individual assistance on increasing the competitiveness of the 10 SCAs (non-consulting services)

3)    Written translation services (non-consulting services)

Procurement of works to include:
1)    Two infrastructure projects (irrigation systems)
Procurement of consulting services to include:
1)    Consultancies services for awareness raising and mobilization/outreach / Lessons learned, best practices and dissemination (Contract for multi-annual awareness and mobilization)
2)    Feasibility study of investment proposals and Business plan development and mentoring/3 business plans for demo plots/Business plans/ feasibility studies for 2 Producers Groups
3)    On-farm Training and Implementation Support
4)    Conservation Agriculture National inventory / Develop curricula for Conservation Agriculture for University and College and training material
5)    Supervision of works (selection of two technical responsible)
6)    Technical assistance & Regional visits for information dissemination & Market facilitation meetings for 2 Producer Groups & Trainings for 5 Producer Groups
7)    Support to NCFM to perform the feasibility research on SCA Stabilization Fund
8)    MSEs mentoring package support 
9)    Youth and women loan with matching grants, 1-10 beneficiaries
10) Affordable credit for MSEs
11) Credit line for MSEs through SCAs, CBs and NBCO
12) Adaptation Fund Assistant

Contracts for goods, works and services will be implemented according to the principles, rules and procedures set out in the current versions of the IFAD Project Procurement Guidelines and IFAD Procurement Handbook.

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be tendered under the competitive bidding procedures will be announced as they become available on selected portals, in local newspapers, and other media outlets as appropriate.
